This month we turn to the controversial subject of global climate change.
Is the social media attention (or lack thereof) warranted when it comes to the climate we are currently experiencing?
Can you believe everything you read on the internet?
Our speaker is Casper Labuschagne, who will help put into perspective everything you need to know about the changing climate we live in, through observations and forecasting.
Casper is a senior scientist at the South African Weather Service, where he has worked for the past 20 years. He has an MSc degree in oceanography, and specialised in ocean-atmosphere exchange. He has co-authored in excess of 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles in international and local scientific journals, and contributed to book chapters and conference talks in the past five years.
