It is time for the jol* of the decade! Join Mensa Pretoria as we host the National Annual Gathering 2021 for Mensa South Africa.
Everyone is welcome… near and far, and we are extending a special invitation to International Mensans… this is the perfect opportunity to spend some time in the African bush AND time with the greatest group of people on earth … MENSANS!
In October 2021, the Pretoria region will be hosting the National Annual Gathering for Mensa South Africa.
We welcome all local members, and especially Mensa members from outside South Africa, to come and have a jol* in the bush, just 40 minutes north of Pretoria. Pretoria NAGs are well known to be the best parties thrown by any region.
*jol = big party (Afrikaans)
Think the Big Five, game drives, sundowners in the bush, a marimba band, scrumptious meals under the African sky… Now, without the need to take care of business (in the form of an AGM), there will be even more fun than initially planned. Show your photography skills in the photography competition and be amazed by the magic tricks of “Doc Magic”. Are you a sharp dresser? You might walk away with the prize for ‘Best Dressed Mensan’. Have a talent to showcase? Sing, dance or share your comedic chops to walk away with the title of ‘Africa’s Greatest Showman.’

Worried about COVID-19?
So are we! We don’t want our magical event cancelled or postponed, but we will abide by the South African government’s regulations. In the event that we cannot proceed as planned, we will offer a 100% refund of bookings received. But this is the last opportunity for Pretoria to host the NAG, next year it will be Winelands’ turn.
Venue details:
The venue is around 40 minutes north of Pretoria (from the Hatfield Gautrain station). You’ll be pleased to know that this is not a malaria area. Having been postponed from August, the days will now be warm to hot and the evenings very pleasant.
