Open Mic speaker evening
Was the moon landing faked? Was the Titanic intentionally sunk to commit insurance fraud? What really happened at Roswell? Is water-fluoridation a mind-control plot to increase the population’s trust in authority? Pizzagate?!
Most of us have come across a conspiracy theory or two, some outright ridiculous, some giving one cause to pause and think, “Could this reasonably be true?”
Our Open Mic Evening will be dedicated to conspiracy theories. Have you come across an interesting one that you have debated with your friends? Have you been able to debunk one? Has your opinion of something been swayed completely by a conspiracy theory? Have you heard about an interesting theory that you would like to share?
- We will take suggestions for conspiracy theory topics at the start of the evening. We will vote on the best five topics to be discussed.
- Each topic will have a 20 minute time limit
- To allow for meaningful discussion and Q&A sessions, speakers will be limited to three minutes each, unless the audience requests otherwise. This will allow everyone to participate.
