About the speaker:
Katharine White currently works as a team lead at DotModus, a Google Cloud partner based in Johannesburg. Having completed her masters studies in pure mathematics and theoretical computer science at Wits University in 2014, she has spent the last 5 years working in industry helping to build both rules-based algorithms and machine learning solutions to solve real-world problems. She is a keen problem solver, who enjoys using the right tools to solve each job she faces. In her spare time, she is an outspoken transgender activist, a wine drinker, and an amateur archer.
