A celebration of salt
Following our very successful wine and salt pairing in January, which was oversubscribed, Mensa Winelands is offering members another opportunity to enjoy this exclusive experience at a private venue in Stellenbosch, on Saturday 18 May, at 14h30.
‘Mr Salt’, Chef Craig Cormack of SALT restaurant at Paul Cluver, returns to take us on a private salt odyssey, paired with four wines, and including styled canapes:
Chardonnay: Arancini, mushroom puree, truffle oil, parmesan spoom, parmesan shavings
Sauvignon Blanc: Himalayan-cured salmon trout , with all the usual accompaniments
Cabernet Sauvignon: Braised beef brisket served with chou croute, seasonal veggies
Noble Late Harvest: Pannacotta, red alea fudge
Cost: Winelands is partially subsidising the cost of this social – members are required to pay R100pp, non-members R200pp.
