Current, paid-up members of the Winelands chapter of Mensa South Africa are invited to the chapter’s ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING on Thursday 6 July 2017 at 18h30, in Somerset West.
Soup and sherry will be served, and there is a cash bar at the venue – and a warm fire!
At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to find out and raise questions about the chapter’s operations and finances.
Our constitution provides for a two-year tenure for the chapter’s committee and, since the current committee was elected in 2016, this is a non-voting year. At present, the chapter is being managed by:
Gerald Steyn – chairman
Christian von Wechmar – treasurer
Erik Eloff – membership and testing officer
Yvonne Steyn – secretary.
At the meeting, members will be asked to
– accept the annual report (July 2016 to July 2017)
– accept the membership report
– accept the financial statements to date.
After the business is concluded – which shouldn’t take longer than half-an-hour – SA music icon Koos Kombuis will entertain us with a few of his signature songs around the fire.
