Mensa Winelands offers you the opportunity to discover Intaka Island – an award-winning, 16-hectare wetlands and bird sanctuary, home to 177 species of indigenous fynbos plants and 120 bird species.
Intaka is a unique example of nature conservation and urban development co-existing in harmony, a hidden gem alongside the bustle of Century City.
We’ll enjoy a private guided tour (an easy walk of approx 2km) with a qualified ranger, who will provide information about the inhabitants, different plant species, and abundant bird life. A 35 minute tranquil boat ride on the Grand Canal is included in the excursion.
Join us on Sunday 20 August at 10:30 for this unique experience. Guests are welcome.
Booking and prepayment is essential – members pay R 40, guests pay R 90.
Please RSVP before Wednesday 16 August to wnl.secretary@mensa.org.za
