Our national parks and nature reserves, and why they matter: An insight into the state of conservation in our own country, and Africa.
Scott Ramsay is a freelance photographer, author and publisher. For the past ten years he has specialised in generating content on wildlife, conservation and safaris in Africa’s national parks and conservancies.
He has a Business Science degree from University of Cape Town, and a Masters degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Prior to working for himself, Scott worked as a photojournalist on the SA travel magazine ‘Getaway’.
He is a recipient of the SAB Environmental Prize for Photography, and the IUCN World Parks Congress photographic prize.
He is commissioned by WWF South Africa to document and photograph some of their conservation projects.
Scott currently spends several months a year photographing Africa’s protected areas and interviewing conservationists, researchers and rangers.
