Mensa Winelands, in collaboration with StarPeople Cape Town, host a social stargazing evening in Somerset West.
Auke Slotegraaf, Ed Foster and Lynnette Foster of StarPeople will provide a brief talk on ‘What’s Up’ – what we can expect to see in the night sky – as well as a discussion on current events of interest, followed by (weather permitting) viewing of the Moon, bright stars, planets and deep-sky objects through their telescopes.
There’s no charge for the evening, and you’re welcome to bring a guest.
The venue offers a cash bar and light meals.
You’re advised to dress warmly, and bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on.
