Join Mensa Winelands for an exclusive, guided tour at the Heart of Cape Town Museum, situated within Groote Schuur Hospital, on Saturday 26 November at 14h00.
This hidden Cape Town gem has only recently reopened following a hiatus due to the pandemic.
We’ll enjoy a fascinating trip back in time, through historical, cultural, emotional, ethical, medical and scientific bases.
The tour culminates in an enthralling visit to the restored operating theatres in which Chris Barnard performed his historic heart transplant, featuring realistic reconstructions of the event.
The duration of the tour is two hours.
For reviews of the experience, visit http://ow.ly/6XL330atTjb.
Mensa Winelands is sponsoring the cost of the tour for members. Guests are welcome, and will pay a subsidised rate.
Booking is essential and may be made with the Winelands secretary at wnl.secretary@mensa.org.za.
